I Kiran chavan started my career cooking at an Indian restaurant in India after I completed my Hotel management Degree  . While in India , I was able to add to my knowledge of curries that I had not been taught in School. After working in India , I moved to U.S, spending two to four years at some very successful Indian restaurants. Around 2007, my great friend and former co-worker,Vijay, asked if I could help him by working at  Indian restaurant where we worked together for six year. After working together for six years we decided to open an Indian restaurant in Birmingham Alabama.

Favorite food: My favorite dish is chicken Madras. The dish originates from southern India and heavily uses chili powder. This gives the dish its red color and makes the dish extremely hot. The dish also has roasted tender white meat chicken and even a little bit of coconut.

Best tip for home cooks: My tip for home cooks is to always start with fresh ingredients. A dish is only good from what ingredients it is composed of. I also see many people who make shortcuts by buying already frozen cut vegetables. I suggest that you cut your own, so that you know it’s fresh.
